Spanish Open, Open Play, Ole!

May events are lining up like so many warm and sunny days in a row. This Saturday [Mother's Day Eve for you keeping score at home] there is a special Open Play at the Shorebird Courts starting at 9 AM. Starting next week, the combined NCAA finals will be playing out in Palo Alto.

And on May 20th, a week from this coming Saturday, the long-awaited RSTC Spanish Open will take place. We will all have do our best to channel our inner Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario and/or inner Rafael Nadal. Go to the RSTC eTennisTeam site and indicate your availability. Signor Michael Garb is the May tournament director.


The Saturday Night Social at Casa Murphy-Hunton [map/directions] will be devoted to Spanish food and drink featuring many small plates of mouthwatering tapas appetizers served throughout the evening.

A-L: Tapas
M-Q: Desserts of Spain
R-Z: Will be called on Thursday with special food assignment.
