Open Play Saturday, July MidSummer Mixed Match Play Coming Right Up




Hello and welcome to the enchanted land of MidSummer, where the mornings and nights are cool and the days filled with sunshine. What better way to celebrate than to play some spirited tennis and then literally enjoy the fruits [and olives and cheeses] of our Mediterranean climate.
First off, there is a special Saturday Open Play tomorrow at Shorebird. Feel free to drop in. We recommend going to the eTennis site [login link here] and updating your status at two places:

Please make an effort to log in and update your status for the Open Play and especially for the July Tournament. The deadline for submissions is end of business Wednesday, July 12th.

The July Social will be hosted by Irene & Jay Muzio and will be a "Spotlight on Cheese, Olives and Berries." Here's the details:

The July potluck will feature cheese, olives and berries—both standing alone and as recipe ingredieints. To start with, there will be a cheese and olive tasting. Then the main and dessert courses will feature dishes that incorporate cheese, olives and/or berries. So that we can have a broad tasting of cheese, those of you who are on the appetizer list will get an email from the social committee with guidelines for your cheese offerings.

A-F: Desserts featuring cheese, olives and/or berries
G-I: Special--will be emailed on Thursday with special food assignment
J-M: Appetizer—will be emailed on Thursday with guidelines for your cheese choices
N-R: Side dishes featuring cheese, olives and/or berries
S-Z: Entrees featuring cheese, olives and/or berries
